Mr. Khan is a Certified Energy Manager and has experience working as a Process Engineer, and Energy Engineer at a northern bleach kraft pulp mill for over five years. During this time, he has worked closely with operations and maintenance groups for the recovery boilers, power boilers, turbine generators and the lime kiln.
Faraz is also experienced in preparing greenhouse gas inventories following the Alberta TIER standards and ECCC standards, as well as preparing greenhouse gas compliance reports.

He holds a diploma in GHG Measurement, Reporting and Verification at the GHG Management Institute, where he was trained under ISO 14064 parts 1, 2 and 3, the 2006 IPCC Guidelines and the WBCSD/WRI GHG Protocols. His experience includes preparing corporate GHG quantifications, conducting GHG verifications for sawmills, pulp mills, single and aggregate oil and gas facilities and biogas projects, and preparing mitigation assessments under the Climate Lens Assessment. Trained in LCA from MIT and conducted several. In addition, he has seven years of experience in the heavy civil industry, supervising the construction and managing the design of roadways and all its related components, and 5+ years managing green infrastructure and R&D projects in the small-scale manufacturing industry.
